LOCKLEYS JUNIOR FOOTY

At the Lockleys Football Club, we are proud to offer junior football opportunities in registered teams across the of SANFL Juniors Competition from Auskick, Under 7 to Under 17.5’s.

We strive on player development, helping players establish foundational skills in younger years through to being competitive in older grades.  Our aim for players is for them to be supported both on and off the field. With this in mind, we bring parent, carers and families together with us on the journey for each player.

We welcome girls and boys of all ages and skill levels, offering the perfect environment to have fun, develop skills, make new friends, and create memories lasting a lifetime.

We welcome you to be part of a community valuing inclusiveness, fun, respect and the joy of football.

GAME DAY

All players must wear their full playing uniform (as outlined below) to every game. A mouthguard is mandatory and they must bring a water bottle to every game.

Junior matches are generally played on Sundays, with game times varying between age groups. There may also be the possibility of occasional Friday night games.

Non-Premiership (Under 7 - Under 11)

These age groups play modified rules prioritising safety, teamwork, and fun. Non-Premiership rules are designed to provide junior footballers with the best possible experience in a structured and supportive environment. The focus is on enjoyment, development, and encouraging players to stay involved in the game for longer.

Premiership (Under 12 - Under 18)

From Under 12 to Under 18, teams compete for premiership points while gradually becoming familiar with the full rules of the game. Age groups are divided into divisions by the league to ensure balanced and competitive matches for all teams
